To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2022, we’re shining a light on some of the next generation who are powering change at our sites across the UK and Ireland.
At SSE Thermal we place a real emphasis on combining practical work-based learning with further education, ensuring our apprentices receive the best possible chance to build their career with us.
Working across a variety of business areas, all of our apprentices are given the opportunity to build real-world experience and are supported by a designated mentor.
Each is already playing their part in helping us to reach net zero, and have the chance to build a long-term career as we move towards a low-carbon future.
Hear from some of our apprentices working across our power stations and energy storage sites:
Chloe Corbett, Apprentice at Peterhead Power Station
Jack Martin, Apprentice at Aldbrough Gas Storage
Jude Junor, Apprentice at Peterhead Power Station
Oscar Brownlee, Apprentice at Aldbrough Gas Storage
