The SSE Thermal Community Investment Fund for Peterhead is currently closed for applications. If you have applied to the fund, we will contact you about your application in due course.
We expect to reopen the fund for applications in early 2025.

Investment fund consultation findings
During spring 2024, we carried out a six-week consultation in the area around the Peterhead Power Station site to give stakeholders the opportunity to provide their thoughts and ideas and for us to capture this feedback. We are working with communities to and stakeholders to help shape the plans.

Priority areas for the Peterhead Fund
When open for applications, the Peterhead Community Fund will give priority to applications in closest proximity to the station and those from the community council areas of Boddam and Peterhead. Priority will also be given to those projects that deliver on themes, identified during consultation:
- Service provision, such as local clubs, events, activities or groups
- Help with cost of living rises, including poverty relief and local food bank support
- Energy efficiency and reduction of energy use.
